Teaching hospitals offer excellent care for patients, without a doubt. As they strive to provide both care and education on more complex treatments, specialized surgeries, trauma and emergency care as well as care for many of our nations uninsured. But when a problem occurs, who is to blame?

This article brings up the question if the student should be to blame for any potential malpractice that they are involved in. As mentioned, teaching hospitals give a unique opportunity to the patient - with many eager medical professionals on hand with newly acquired skills and cutting edge technologies fresh in mind. But if a problem occurs - who should pay?
